My sophomore year, in 2017, I did a research based class at the Bodega Marine Laboratory. For my first research project, I asked what the effects of chemicals in cosmetics were on sea urchin embryos.

I found irregularities in sea urchin embryos! Further, these chemicals limited fertilization of sea urchin eggs.
