I am a fourth year PhD Candidate at University of Connecticut in the Ecosystem Toxicology Lab

I currently study the effects of toxicants on shellfish and fish populations and am curious about developing solutions for conservation. I just completed my master’s in marine biology from Texas A&M at Galveston and am excited to continue studying marine and coastal ecosystems.

I am a queer Indian woman advocating for others like me that deserve a space in aquatic sciences

I grew up in India and moved to the US to study Environmental Toxicology at the University of California, Davis. I fell in love with aquatic science after a trip to the Bodega Marine Laboratory my freshman year. I’ve had such few people look like me in my field, and I’m excited to be part of the wave of folks seeking to change that.
